Nikolina Rukavina Šojat

Mrs. Nikolina Rukavina Šojat holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the University of Zagreb.
She began her professional journey in the City of Zagreb, where she was an integral part of projects focused on air protection and noise reduction. As an expert associate, she played a key role in developing and implementing policies aimed at improving urban environmental standards.
After that, she transitioned to the waste management sector, where she worked for a decade. As the director of warehouse and waste processing, she was responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of waste management operations, from collection and storage to processing and disposal.
In addition to her practical experience, she completed specialized training for a person responsible for the transport of dangerous goods by road and rail, further enhancing her qualifications in the management of hazardous materials.
She has actively participated in various international conferences and workshops on waste management and environmental protection and she has collaborated with leading European experts in the field to stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and regulatory changes, ensuring that her work aligns with global best practices.
Currently, she works in the Municipality of Križevci as energy efficiency, environmental protection and spatial planning advisor.
